Just because they are fine for that last month does not mean they will be fine later on. Being scared of the other fish in the tank is what may be keeping them from beating up on each other.

Hey man, my two females now the atabapo and the tapajos are starting to get a long in my tank also. I know its only supposed to get worse with age and aggression, but before the tapajos would hide all day and
now she is always out and will swim with the other one constantly. Still picked on occasionally, but it seems like they are getting used to each other and working it out more and more maybe you have similar disposition in your tank
I dont think it really matters on them both being males. Just depends on the pikes temperment. I kept two 10-11" Male lenticulata together for a few years with no issues at all. I ended up selling them to a MFK member and he kept them together with no issues either. Ive also kept two 15" Marmorata female together with no issues. Both pairs were raised together from about 4" and were happy. But on the flip side I kept two 14" True strigata females together and it didn't work out to well. Also raise together at 4" but never really got along. I think it just depends on the pikes themselves not what sex they are.
