someone is cranky

Never been bitten by any of my ackies.... so I share a difference of opinion. Kimberly Rocks are great, but near impossible to get ( I am trying to get a group and its taken me about a year). BRN's is a species I wouldnt suggest .... they require lots of space and most people cant provide for their needs, although they are very prehistoric looking and do calm down rather nicely if brought into interaction as a baby. Too bad theyre all W/C.

Yep, none of my Ackies bit me. Although there are exceptions in every case... unless you smell like bugs or something.

That's not a mangrove is it?

I want to get a mangrove monitor, I think they're beautiful, and I know they get to be 5 ft in length, but that's smaller than what our igs are going to be!! Instead of an enclosure, I was going to dedicate a whole room in our house for his space. As well as having a room for our igs.

Are they very agressive? I want to go with a baby, so I can tame him myself, and create a bond with it.

I thought so, but I wasn't 100% sure.

He is absolutely gorgeus BTW!

Thanks... I have 1.1 pair they are from an unkown locale... definatley not inland indicus.

Are they happier housed as a pair?

If so, it looks like I'll have to get two....^_~

I like keeping all my monitors in pairs... just so they can fulfill life events. If you just want a pet then one will do.

...wonder what ever happened to Large Cichlids and his mangrove. He probably swapped it for a retic which ended up breaking the glass out of that 55-gal. before biting his sister. Now he's got a baby anaconda in his bathtub and I'm sure he's arguing with someone about how that's not a good place to keep it.

Varanio, nice lizard :) How many monitors do you have?

Hey Alex, its that you in your AVatar, with that billiard ball head and that gigantic critter????
