I have a Nitra-Zorb pillow in my loach tank. Kinda pricey, but it works great. Well...probly cheaper than a denitrator...

Read the thread before you post bro you will then see the conundrum that is 20 ppm from the tap and African cichlids that I don't want to live in RO water.fishfrenzieimports;3160267; said:The best cure for nitrate.. is water changes
its best not to stray away from that

These do kind of work so does purigen ive tried both but I need something more permanent as these products in the long run (years ) cost more for me. They are a good monthly band aid thoughJakeH;3160287; said:I have a Nitra-Zorb pillow in my loach tank. Kinda pricey, but it works great. Well...probly cheaper than a denitrator...

Thanks man so true. Ive been told that by people but I always try to make it clear that I do a 50% WC on all 6+ of my tanks every 3-4 days. And my nitrates are never below 20. (I test the tap weekly and the lowest nitrates I have seen to date was 15)JakeH;3162422; said:I feel your pain, bro. It's a heck of a lot harder to remove the crap coming out of the faucet than to add to it. These guys yellin about WC's probably have perfect soft, acid water & just have to add a capful of whatever here and there. We should all be so lucky! I like the algae scrubber idea & of course live plants.
