Fastest way I've gotten Dats to eat beefheart was to make sure to cut them up in small cubes. Small enough where it's really easy for them to swallow. When it's too big they spit it out and try to eat it over and over, eventually giving up. But when it's small it's easier to swallow. Then they develop a taste for it.

Yep that's what I do with the beefheart; even now I still chop it up into small tiny pieces.. But when they develop a taste, man they love that stuff...

thanks for the advice folks....going to keep trying...wish the cats and plecos would switch to beef hearts...but all my aros love it....the lei got a gut from it last night...
