what is it and what do I need?

It doesn't look like ick to me....

I don't know what to say about what it is, other than an ulcer, or some sort of injury from fighting with another fish..

I would salt. That always works for me with any fish I have issues with.

+1 here, appears to be battle scars or a scrape from something sharp in the tank. Salt it and she will be ok.

well it's getting worse.

Now there's more of these spots, but again it's not ich.

I have nothing sharp in the tank.

I added salt to the tank. can anybody tell me a treatment.

Do I does everyday? how do I use this as a treatment?

Well, salt doesn't come out of the tank unless you do a water change, so you don't want to be adding salt unless you are changing the water.

What size tank is this? How much salt did you add?

What are the tank mates, and the water parameters?

It's a 75G tanks, no tanks mates, only her.

I used API Aquarium salt, I followed the directions 1 Tablespoon per 5 gallons

Water param. are excellent, she's in great water. Weekly water change is 40%

When we say water params, we need actual numbers. Can't just say it's excellent, because it may not be ideal for the fish.

Do yourself a favor and run out to Lowe's. Buy yourself a bag of solar salt- 40 lbs for $6. It's a blue bag, and 99.9% pure.

Do yourself 2 50% water changes within the next few days, and re salt.

.3% is healing percentage, which would be 3/4 cup of salt.

The salt isn't going to make her look better over night, it will take a while. But she should be fine.

OK,

0 amm
0 nitrites
20 nitrates
PH runs about 7.7

Lowes Solar salt, blue bag 3/4 cups of salt for the 75G

thanks

Hmm. Everything looks good. When did this start? How long have you had him?

And yes about the salt. it's 1 cup per 100 gallons.
