I'd go with the reefer for the 90 hex. Sounds like a good size and corals don't need a lot of swimming room. I think I've been bitten by the salt bug as well.

I'm good man. I have in fact "tied the knot." We're going on 3 months of marital bliss =). I'm about to graduate from nursing school in about 6 weeks (if I can survive labor and delivery!) and I have recently been elected by my peers to deliver the commencement speech at our pinning ceremony, so Ive got a lot of good stuff going on. Glad to see you around the forum. We sent some RBP's your way the other day. Somebody in OH wanted to give away their P's.

Wow! I'm glad things are going well.

I did nothing but saltwater/reef tanks exclusively for about 6 years. At that time I divorced and as I was moving my stuff out, cracked my 650 gallon Shark tank. At that point something died inside of me and I abandoned the hobby.
A few years later I set up a Pygo tank and for the last couple years have been freshwater which has become almost boring...I need challenges in my life!

I've convinced myself this the hex tank will be reef. I already have the halide lighting, protein skimmer and everything I need but the corals. I think it'll be an ideal reef tank.

OMG what a protective father :D did the otehr pair spawn ? can you post some pics of your fish ?

I'm still waiting for the other pair to drop. I had a heater go out a couple weeks ago without realizing it and that postponed the first pair spawning. The only camera/video recorder I had was on my phone which died last week but I'll have pics soon.

My pride and joy at the moment is a 180 gallon with 18 Altums and 13 4-8'' Clown Loaches with a few Bala Sharks and Black Shark. People probably think I'm crazy to keep the Black with a group of Angels but they get along great and the Shark even ''guards'' them.

from what I've heard thats typical breeding behavior for p's. congrats! love your sig too.

Thanks! That's just one of the many gems written by Crowley.

Yep, pretty typical although I've never heard of a large driftwood being shredded or biting heaters.

I'll get a video/pics up soon.

Man....
The other day I was unprepared to take on more fish. I just set another tank up in that'd be ideal for another shoal. I'll bet money all the free Piranha are gone.

How many tanks do you currently have going?

Ah, I'm confused! In total I have nine.

480 Gallon
2x 220 Gallon
3x 125 gallon
1 90 gallon
1 75 gallon
1 30 gallon

Tomorrow I'm considering setting up a 55 that's sitting dry right now.
