I'm mainly talking about the Tocantins , RA kels, São Fran....
I have all three and more than one of each.... I've noticed that one has more of a mono body style with two big eye spots on the tail that merge together or is divided by a gold bar but is still together with the eye spots going up and down, body blotchings are low. Another has the azul or orino body style with the eye spots still being double going front to back but also the eye spots somewhat connect to the body blotchings which it has a lot of. The other kel eye spots are double and go up and down, has azul body style, body blotchings not as much. I see people posting up stuff saying its a RA but looks like my Tocantins or São Fran or Vice versa. These bass all have things I've mentioned in common making me think they all have the same parents or at least one parent in common. All these bass came in from different vendors but are probably all from the same place. Still going to be great bass but them being all these different locations I doubt it.

I hear ya bud!
How about some pics that help explain your references.
Its time for your update anyway ;)

Interesting thoughts.....it's definitely possible, and x2 on the update.

X3 I have noiced the same thing with all the pictures, I just didnt buy because funds were not availabe and even more so space:). The one thing that has stood out to me is the head shape as well as body markings some have the mono/occel head shape. I would also like to see update pictures as well

I see whatcha mean....
The guy in the first pic really looks to be a hybrid...the head doesnt look kelberi at all.
TO me the ones in the second pic up front and center look kelberi.
Only time will tell but Im thinking quite a few of us got hosed on the fake "wc" kelberis.
Really makes me think the next time I buy any fish labeled as wc.

I've had kels from rapps with that body style so I can't say it is. But the whole WC thing you just never know. Vendors might know or they might not... Not blaming anyone cause the vendors may get suckered aswell. As long as the fish ends up great looking I'm ok with it and so far I've seen acouple members kels turn out to be real gems.

I like my Sao Fran it was whole big debate when I post my fish the Sao Fran and that's because a lot of people on mfk see a pic of one or two fish and think they all are going to look the same. We can all go to the same collection point and get 5-10 different looking Kels lol coloration and shapes and the all would be considered Sao Fran Kels or what ever the collection points are for instance the two different Tocantin looks floating around but I didn't say a big debate over them but maybe that's because of the vendor that was selling them

my "sao francisco"look like ocellaris to me.i have been biting my tongue till they are larger.

I agree and think that most of these fish came from asia maybe just making a stop there from south america and being exported here but more than likely being breed there and the wholesalers saying wild caught because in their minds wild caught means caught in the wilds of singapore or thailand all I know is that I'm very happy with how my fish are developing as for the vendors I think unless they go and collect the fish themselves or go to south america and visit the fisherman personally I think that most are being decieved by their suppliers just like we are and even if these fish were wild caught you still have to cross your fingers and hope you get lucky and get a hidden gem
