Something new... stocking opinion! Lol

If they outgrow the 125, you need a 180/240/300 gallon. Fish that big moving from a 125 into a 75 won't work out.

COTA has central american cichlids. If you want SA cichlids, you look at Rapps' stock list. Several and Chocolate Cichlids are SA cichlids.

I’ve already reached out to Rapps, waiting to hear back.

I only meant I could separate one or two of the fish out if someone is getting beat on (or one is the aggressor) while I figured it out. I would love an excuse to buy another big tank. Have 180, 125 etc

I know im a bit late to the party, but I'll throw in my support for the mixed community with clown loaches and a JD or two.

Im growing out some loaches to house with my JD and maybe some others in my 135.

The GT and a pair of severums could be cool too though.

Really appreciate the input from everyone... have the following coming from J Rapps tomorrow:

> rotkeil severum 2"
> temporalis ‘Peru chocolate cichlid’ 3.5"
> male A. rivulatus 4"+
> Orinoco oscar 2.5-3"

Things that havent worked for me...

Texas + GT....nope.
Texas + Salvini.....nope.
GT + Salvini...nope.

GT + Oscar....yes!

Dont know much about severums or chocos but dont recall hearing about over the top aggression.

Well I got my 4 fish from Rapps, they all look great but the male GT is about twice the size of the Oscar and Rotkeil. Chocolate is a little bigger than GT so the GT immediately singled it out as a threat... hasn’t given the two smaller fish a second glance.

I put the GT in another 75 for time being, will try and introduce him to 125 with others down the road when the Oscar passes him by in size and see how it goes.
