Hello
Just looking for some information from some experts out there. In my tank I have noticed about 1-2 weeks ago one of my larger clown loaches was starting to lose his black marks on the two rear black stripes (rear and middle). And the last day or two I have noticed that now the black on his head is going. I have no idea what it is.
He is
-behaving normally
-eating a lot
-interacting with the other loaches

Here are the pictures (hard to get a good pic of him).
Again I have no idea, but he is not behaving sick, and it is almost impossible to catch him in the tank.

well i cant tell from the picture.
is it a very shiny white?almost like a pearl?
or is it a dull grey/white?
or the third option..is it a white fungal infection on it?(i doubt it)

you got good pictures....im just not an expert on CL's
but maybe a veteran can jump in here

sorry for double posting.
what temp is this tank at?

It doesnt look like there is anything growing on the scales. As far as I can tell it looks like he is loosing his black scales. The orange is completely normal (at the moment) but from what I can tell he is losing the black ones.

The tank is about 28 deg c. I think that is like 83 deg f.

i know very little but if it wer me i would take him out and try to remedy it, im totaly guessin here but the spot at his finn and the 1 above his eye seem to be the main things to be lookin at, the pale over the rest of his body could be from stress
