Something weird with my clown loach

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello
Just looking for some information from some experts out there. In my tank I have noticed about 1-2 weeks ago one of my larger clown loaches was starting to lose his black marks on the two rear black stripes (rear and middle). And the last day or two I have noticed that now the black on his head is going. I have no idea what it is.
He is
-behaving normally
-eating a lot
-interacting with the other loaches

Here are the pictures (hard to get a good pic of him).
Again I have no idea, but he is not behaving sick, and it is almost impossible to catch him in the tank.

did you get this sorted professor if so what was the outcome please

wow, I'm not sure anyone can definitively point out what this is, but as long as it is not transferring to the other loaches or causing this one harm....just see what happens?

As I said it is very hard to get fish out of the tank, I had to leave him in there. He actually looks like the black is growing back. Very weird, will try and get some more photos of him on the weekend as he is looking a lot better now.
Was always behaving normally, so I have no idea what is going on.

Never updated on the little guy. He seems fine cannot tell it ever happened. It also happened to another one (2 out of 6 loaches). The second loach did not get it as bad. Only lasted a few days and lost a bit of black. As opposed to losing all black for a week.

They are both fine now and all the loaches behave and look normal. So have no idea what happened...
