I believe it also has something to do with the web browser you're using.

On my Apple laptop, certain sites entered will redirect me to a different site then the one I entered....depending on whether I am using Safari or Firefox as yhe browser.

Another example:
For a couple of months, I couldn't get to Google using Firefox in my wife's account, but it wasn't an issue if I was in my account
