something wrong with my jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
had it for about 2-3 weeks now, recently moved my tank, so part of the reason could be caused by stress. but it was already a bit rotting b4 this. it looked like an overnight sudden change wen it began to rot the mouth/tail and few days ago.

ok my jardini just died this morning =/, temp was around 84, and i did add salt. but i guess it was too late. im gonna do a water test today and buy some treatment for the future.

how were the amonia levels in your tank?

Did you Test the water?

How long has the tank been up?

What is your maintinence schedule like(how Often)?

What size is the tank?

How much salt did you add?

Do you have a picture of the fish and or the Tank?

Oh and How much have you researched the Jardini??

yea i used the kit and it showed bright green, meaning thats slightly bad with ammonia. i moved the tank 4-5 days ago, and i put like 3 spoons of salt when i realize it was sick in a 29 gallon. i do a water change (25%) like once a week or twice a week since acquiring the jardini a couple weeks ago.

either im over feeding it, ph is too low (6.5-7.0), or does decaying plants raise ammonia? i think it lowers ph but not sure about ammonia.
