either im over feeding it, ph is too low (6.5-7.0), or does decaying plants raise ammonia? i think it lowers ph but not sure about ammonia.

if your ph is acidic then there shouldnt be nitrogen in the ammonia form.

btw your aro with thrive in acidic water

jardini is about 3.5inches long. its tail is slowly deteriorating/rotting, losing it's color, etc. one of the eyes beginning to look partial blind, cloudy. it's bottom lip looks like it's rotting also or injured. water seems fine & it's 80 degrees now. ph is around 6.8. anyone know what's wrong?

your aro most likely died from an infection with the description you gave.
