It makes you want to invest in a whole house generator when things like that happen. When I lived down south hurricanes kept taking my tanks out, didnt even think that up here we would have an issue.

Do you have a basement? My tanks are there and it never gets below 60 no matter what is going on up stairs.

jrob, I am about thirty miles south of Mackinac, back in the woods. The power line came down right in my drive so my plow guy could do his job. With a foot of wet, heavy snow sticking to everything there was no moving.

Coyotethug, The fish are in my walk out basement so no earth sheltering happening down there. I`m not sure the festae could have taken that for two days.

On another front, Norbert, my savanah monitor, who was hard as a brick pulled through. He was one frigid lizard!
 
i was going to say, i'm from ann arbor-ish...grandparents live in brighton..and cousins in grand rapids didn't hear anything..but if your that far up ...makes sense
