Well, I was suppose to have a 180 by now. Thing is everytime I get the money saved something breaks, this last time it was the washer. Before it was the van.

My hubby has started building me stand for a 180 and is marking off space for a fish room in the basement. We just have so many things going on right now that it looks like my fish room isn't going to get really going until winter.

I'd hate to buy a fish with the intention to upgrade and then not be able to do it. I feel better waiting until I have the right tank.

I stopped waiting when nothing ever happened but new stuff to fix.. :) I bought and then part of the fixing was upgrade :) It became more priority then :)

Happens all the time!

I'm at a fishie place, see this neat fish, want to get it, but all my tanks are already fully stocked or the fish in the tank would have the newcomer as a meal...

Last time I have to passed on a discus which is not shy at all due to that the tanks I have won't meet its demand. Damn!

Over the last 40+ years, I've had to pass on so many fish I wanted that I've lost count. Some were passed over due to either my financial situation and/or my career demands at the time. However, now that situations have changed (plus buying my own hatchery), I find that I can now have all those fish species I had to forgo in those earlier times.

you did the right thing.

i at one point in time wanted an arow but i simply do not have the "funds" for such a purchase.
