Yup you got it, the family Cactaceae is just part of the larger group of plants known as "succulents". All cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti (in fact only a small portion of them).
Stapeliads (which is the family that includes the genera Stapelia, Huernia, Carraluma etc) come from Africa, and cacti only come from the Americas.

it popped!!and its cool!! lol 
doesnt smell to bad
my cat could smell it tho,nose up in the air in that direction

flower is really cool looking.... nice looking jewel as well.... they might be ,aggot eggs but im not sure
