Its definately Stapelia gigantea. Nice looking flower, next spring you should repot it to get it growing more and you might get more flowers.

I was gessing it would be something like thatDavid R;2211138; said:They're really rare and very hard to grow. Coming from Somalia they need very little water and temperatures above 10-15C. The 'spikey ones' that the flower is sitting on will be from the same family (different genus tho) and will have a much smaller (but still cool) flower. A lot of them are impossible to identify by the stems, you need to see the flower.
