I see there is a prob of interpretation here.

In my country when refering to the first floor it is upstairs what you are always talking about.

it would be nice to have a large shoal of geryis in a 300g but will probably be more expensive then the tank.

:D

Just makes it all the more rad...

"i have alot of serrasalmus species so i wanna do the big pygo setup."

true that. I'd like to get some pygos too. Especially if I had a massive tank.

I'm second to that.

Tony, check out DAS, they have some kick ass aquariums.

Personally I would probably go with a 3D aquarium http://www.petstorefixtures.com/3DShow.html
You saw the pic of my 180g right? I believe it's from DAS, they have 380g, 96"x48"x32"
it comes with overflow and wet/dry built to the back and the back and bottom are black (not glass but some type of commercial grade plastic material). my 180g has 0.5" thick glass and the seals are very beefy.
One thing is I don't believe they sell to individuals, perhaps you can ask your lfs to order one for you.
as for filter, you can use sump/wet/dry, or multiple canisters or a large pool filter.

I really like the look of those 3d tanks. they are really wide tho and im workin with a 1100 sq ft townhome but i especially like the shape of your tank its not just square.

Yea, it actually gives you 7 viewing angles plus the wide open top :)

should def. check into the 380g they have, get it if you can. you'll love it. :)

They also have the three level ones, not sure how big they are but if they have it large enough you can have all your piranhas in one single, pretty cool.

96" x 48" x 32"

if too wide for you they also do custom tank. those are just their stock size.

I'll def. look into one of those in the future when I buy my second house..gotta remember to get one with a walk in basement that has a wide sliding door
