is it a good sign if he is swimming up the tank walls

i would say yes. at least he is still active. mine usually do when they are looken for food, so lets hope he eats

I dont think the ray is the problem. The ray is just a symptom, and replacing it wont solve the real problem, which is you trying to buy your child's love with an exotic present. Solve that problem and the ray issue goes away.

Really you guys do you have to jump on someone so bad and leave as ignorant responses as some of you have. I believe the pet store is the one at fault here and not the buyer. Alot of people don't realize forums even exist so the only place they know to get info about an animal is from there pet store and if the pet store can't provide the proper info then they shouldn't be selling the animal in the first place. And Oscarum monstruoso can a mother or father not have a hobby to bond with there children your comment is rediculous and uncalled for.

did the ray die? dont think u can delete, y would u tho?

no ray is alive, but that last comment hurt about me buying my kids love, so the ppl who tried to help tyvm but to the ppl who jumped on me can go u know where, and tysm skynoch that helped alot, i owned fish my whole life and when i got the rays i thought it would be kinda easy, i knew they would little harder but not this hard, (when they get sick) to loose a ray, its not like i bought the ray and knew nothin and threw him into a tank, i had my other ray for over a yr before i got the moto and had no prob so thats y i got the moto, i bought the r/o machine all the stuff i needed, but no one told me i needed a cage for my heater that he could get burned, if i was told then i would of bought the caged heater, and for that A-HOLE who said iam buying my kids love, i bought the ray for me not my kids, but they have grown to love it and it would hurt them to wake up the next day and it be gone so y don't u go to, n/m iam not going to ur level but to usmctanker u been alot of help and want to ty u, and to skynoch thanks for backing me up but needycowgirl was right i should of did way more research, but i didn't think it would be harder for them, after owning fish 20 plus yrs i thought i would be ok, i made some stupid comments and iam sry but, skynoch was right i didn't know about the forums at all, and i came across this site after i googled on how to heal the burn and it took me here so i joined and thought the more help the better i would be, some of u act like i have no regard for human or animal life, like i sit bk and laugh when ppl or animals get hurt, and that hurts, so iam done and i wanna delete this account before i get more nasty comments, cause i kinda take things to heart, so if anyone knows how to delete my account please help, and i also hope the best for all of u
