first off i just want to say sorry and it was dumb of me to think of only myself and my tank and not my customer. this is the thread (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185650)
so i thought about what everone said and took it all into considerations and well went and talked to them. i stopped by the house today and talked to the customer, told them about my tank and showed them the piece i wanted. and they said thanks for coming over to ask us if you can have it but there is one thing you need to do for us......
.....i said ok, how much do you want for it, what would you like me to, they said just keep the bugs away and its ours. i asked again if they want any money for it but they said no thats ok just enjoy your tank and keep up the good work.
so i now have a nice piece of driftwood to put in the tank but would like to continue to find out the best way to prepare it for the tank. thanks again
