LMFAO you guys are commending him for this? He had the requisite moral culpability to steal it in the first place. If I was the elderly couple, I would have pressed charges for the hell of it. Anyone hear of petty theft? A bit of a criminal record would serve to deter the initial act of taking property belonging to others irrespective if he attempts subsequently remedy the harm.

Actually, he never stole the wood...he only thought about stealing it. Which in this country is NOT against the law thank god. Though he was wrong for even considering stealing from anyone let alone an elderly couple it's great to see that fellow MFK'rs were able to help him see the right path to follow. Congrats to everyone that spoke up and even more so to acerkai640 for listening and eventually doing the right thing! It's not easy to have a conversation like that with someone you were about to steal from but it sure was the right thing to do.

Very good. It takes a lot of maturity(and something else) to admit your mistake, before you have even done it, and even more to then do the right thing and acknowledge it publicly. Well done.:clap
And good luck with the wood.

Agreed with all the above...

MFK is about teaching and helping people grow, whether it be within the fish hobby or personally. We have all made mistakes in the past. Im just happy he gave it some thought and grew from the experience.
