SOS RAYS, please help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
95% every time I don't think the problem is that. I thing the problem is ammonia, that's why I didn't do water change for 9 days. I saw the test and believe on it, it said safe, but not safe.

U don't change water to prevent ammonia ,u should change water no mater what the test thing says , ammonia and nitrite should be 0 at all times and if the tanks cycling u shouldn't have Ray's in it , Ray's should only be in established tanks , water changes are to reduce / dilute nitrate and add any other minerals in the water that may become reduced

Looks bacterial or fungal. I would be doing a large water change and treating as such with appropriate meds!

I probably would not recommend another 95% wc. You'll be doing more harm than good. Drastic changes to water chemistry will just add more stress to the fish. I'm not sure what your filtration is like, but that's something you should look into. As Shadow mentioned, it's most likely bacterial/fungus that's gotten out of control. You can up your heat and use epsom salt (but make sure you let the salt dissolve in a bucket with tank water before adding to your tank). Are they eating? Good luck

Thank for all advise. I didn't feed my rays yet, until today. Bad new is big Ray pass away, small Ray getting better.
