Sound proofing the stand

Wouldn't that get mouldy though once it's all closed in and the moisture can't escape easily?

I'm sure it works great. I'm just concerned about the rot. When the stand is all encased in wood I'm sure it will be plenty humid in there since the sump is not covered. I would cover the sump but the way I have it set up won't really allow for it.

You could probably get rubber carpet padding remnants pretty cheap.
