South American Giant BB Cat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sudden change in behavior is not always a positive or benign sign. I see the fish didn't touch or didn't finish its meal. That's also a red flag.

But it still could be that it will merely take some time for the cat to recover.
I thinks it's just healing would be cause for it to not eat

Wow I sound illiterate lol

Got a good luck at the wound. Looks less red today but also looks like a chunk of the gill was bitten off. What do you guys think ?

Probably young enough to completely heal imo.

I've given mine a 35g to itself for now... I can properly monitor him then. Removed most hiding spots with only floating cover and some shade. Gonna try too force some confidence outter him lol.

What tankmates are left with yours, just gourami now?

Yeah and they are a p.i.t.a never knew they were such big eaters. Always trying to steal the cats tilapia.

Greedy little sods just like their big cousins the GG.

Hard for me to see if the gill is damaged. Gill cover certainly is. The soft edge of the cover carries an important function drawing water through the gills. I think it should grow back fine but perhaps only time will really tell.

That's the goal, that's Marcus's one right?
