Anyone ever tried keeping a south american lungfish with stingrays? Just wondering, cuz my lfs has a sa lungfish they've been trying to sell for like 6 months now. I know they can get up to like 4 feet long, but I don't know if they'd be compatible with my rays.

Yah, the main thing I'm worried about is would he take a chunk out of my rays... I suppose they could always just sting him back, right?
The lungfish the store has is about 6 inches right now, and my rays are around 4" disk diameter, so there wouldn't be any predator likelyhood for a while, I would think. But I don't know.

i kept a SAL for three months with my stingrays. there were no problems with biting or something like that. the SAL was quite friendly.
But he did not get any food! the rays are to fast and a lungfish is quite slow with eating, so the rays took all the food in the tank, before the lungfish even noticed. the lung was 60 cm long.

I've currently only got Reticulated stingrays, but I may be adding a Humerosa soon if I can find one. I plan on getting all of them trained to feed from a pair of large tweezers, so I can make sure each one gets its fill. That is an interesting observation though.
