South American Tank

Without knowing the size tank you plan on keeping your question can not be answered. Start by answering that and we'll be able to help you.

do a 8x4x2 tank with group of five ornatums, five atromaculatum, and a festae pair with a bunch of silver dollars as dithers. that would be so epic or you could go bigger and add an umbee to that list. the ultimate south american tank

Hahaha, I can tell you like CAs more than SAs, because all the SAs you chose are probably the closest to CAs you could get. :)

I guess tank size would be the most logical place to start then! And I don't know about the 600 gallon tank fishman, although that would be such a sweet tank! Maybe someday when I build up to that level of fishkeeping. So to answer the question and keep this great discussion going, I'm thinking at least 100g. Here's the other piece: It may go into a corner so I was considering the tanks that fit into corners and have a bowfront. Pros, cons? It doesn't have to be a corner tank because with a little rearranging I could go for the rectangular shape.

geos and angels!

you said agressive ? how about a tank of piranhas :)
This is the cichlid forum.

100 gallons leaves you with a lot of options. A pair of large fish, several medium sized fish, numerous smaller fish. What kind of fish are you interested in?

I would go with a 6ft 125 if that's the case and avoid a corner tank if you can it will give you more options.
