Damn that first bass is one of the biggest iv seen caught down in fl. I used to live in St. Pete but never got the chance to really spend time anywhere southern enough like around Miami or Naples to catch any. Where in south fl are you fishing?

pick a canal or lake past ft. lauderdale.. all carry peacocks even the lakes and canals along the turnpike and dolphin expressway produce big fish..

I live in Plantation FL and have a pretty big canal in my back yard. All I ever catch are Large and Small Mouth Bass, Mayan Cichlids, and the occasional catfish.

if you live in florida and caught a small mouth bass your the first!! small mouths don't live in florida.
