..Well you guys couldn't have said it better.. the "florida freeze" totally did a great number.. from what i could see..

We are in West Palm Beach right now, for the past week we have been fishing every day sun up to sun down.
We've hit up everywhere from local canals in the area, Loxahatchee wild life refuge, spots along I-75, lake osboune, and some of the more popular canal ways in Miami-date.. During this whole trip we've caught about 6 smaller bass on the first day we were here in a little lake.

We're not sure what's going on or what we've doing wrong, we've tried every type of bait, a bunch of "prime" spots, we're kinda just clueless at this point..

Any help would be awesome and if you're in the south florida area, hit me up to drop some line with us!

try real slow presentations...wacky rig some worms, use small rubber bands to keep them weedless...i found that in cold weather blue with blue flake sluggos work best...this is mn though...might be worth a try...worst case senario you don't catch any...like you are now...

i live in southeast fl, and when i was 8 years old my dad took us fishing. i caught a large pufferfish but it blew up and cut my hand to hell while i tried to touch it. thats all i remember though >.>

When its cold fish aren't active so they wont feed much, but startling them with lures may get you with the occasional bite. This works in California cold weather sotry a real presentation, live bait?

I know how you feel, i've been trying to fish at lake travis for the past week and only caught one bass....I didn't see one single panfish.

Majority of the exotics are gone. Plain and Simple. Head down to Southern Dade country. They are still seen down there. Most of the canals and smaller lakes before the freeze would be popping all day and into the evening on the surface from the Clarius and Plecos. Now its strangely calm. The only thing I have seen in Broward is two mozambiques...
