The guy said it needs a new bottom and front. The picture he posted was the tank face down and surrounded by weeds.

It's acrylic and has been stored outside. Do you still want me to go looking for it?

Found it...

It isn't pretty, but it is in your stomping grounds. Go check it out and see where the damage is. I'm thinking that if it is isolated to one end of the tank, to break out the saws and make a shorter tank.

That's weird :screwy: that was a direct copy/paste from the ebay page. That explains why no one picked it up...until today. I went and got it. It is in really rough shape. I asked how it got damaged and the guy said it happened by being in the sun :screwy: I know what sun damage looks like and this isn't it. The bottom is broken in two and the entire joint around the bottom let loose. The bottom wasn't properly glued. The front panel has two large cracks in it, rendering it mostly useless. The sides are intact but badly scratched up. My plans for it are to use the parts to make a cistern for used tank water to feed the lawn irrigation system. I think the resulting size is going to be too small, so I might just use this for making filter tanks.

I was wondering how bad it was damaged. how thick is the acrylic? if it's 1 inch then way to much to buy new and fix it. I was thinking for a turtle tank.

Turtles will scratch it. They need to be kept in glass tanks. Milkman's DIY acrylic is all scratched up from his Royal Pleco. Who would have thought? :(
