spakin new tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you want to keep the JD go for a couple other CA/SA cichlids like GT etc. Add some plants to break the line of sight to reduce aggression, and add some dither fish like silver dollars or tinfoil barbs.

With a 75g, I would do a single speciman showcase...........Possibly a breeding a pair of the showcase that I am about to mention...An owner reposondsive fish is the red devil/Midas...........Getting a male and growing one from 2 inches to 10 inches withn a year is awsome, like raising a dog..........You can also start a breeding project with these fish..............Purchasing 3-5 juveniles will get a pair within 2 months.........

thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I am leaning toward single fish.
ideas for now
Oscar....too teenage basement for me.
the sevrum idea is interesting. I had only known this species as part of the sad little hybrid with the deformed mouth. took a look online and was stunned at how beautiful! they are. especially turquoise variety. What about as tank-mates a group of large angels and a good size school of cory. it would end up like this,
1 severum
5 Angels
10-20 corys
take away some of the stone add some driftwood to accent the angels shape

Skip the angels. Sevrum will nip the fins. If I were setting it up I would do this:
1 Sevrum
2 Festivums or Keyhole cichlids
5 tiger barbs or rainbows

Keep it short finned semi aggressive with sevrums. This has just been my expierence though. Maybe someone has tried angele with a sev and had a differing expierence.

forgot to mention anyone ever keep Jaguar in 75?
I think a single jag might get too big. I'm about to setup a single fish 75 myself. Check out my thread.

Finally decided on frontosa Barundi three, 1 male two females. Will work up to about 10 pictus and gradually remove others tank mates as aggression and chemistry dictate. I ask also if anyone has ever used natural sponge half submerged in HOB filter? I have had some fairly crowded tanks with heavy feeding and heavy lighting for planted tanks with hardly any nitrate buildup.

In the end thats extremely over stocked with pictus cats. You could end with a single Frontosa and....well thats about it in a 75. But if you start them small, they will last a while. Fronts are very slow growers. But then you won't know the sex when you start. But thats without the pictus cats. 10? really? lol.

look pal I got better things to do than spell check my random entries in a discussion board. This is the reason I usually avoid them. Go answer your mother she is calling you from upstairs. Get a Job and cut off that dam mullet!
