Well my wife went to Wal-Mart,so i probably wont get them up till tommorrow!!(she loves that place and spending my money!!!)
It's the other way round. My female Cr. alta stopped growing at 7" (of course, males reach 10") and I know for a fact that Cr. sveni males get to 12". Also, Alta and Sveni are not the only pikes with tail ocelli. In fact, many pikes from various groups have it.andyourblueblood;1266333; said:if it has the ocelli its a sveni or an alta. 10"-12" on the alta and 8"-10" on the sveni.
As far as I know, Cr. lepidota does not have an ocellated spot at the caudal peduncle. Cr. lucius has it, though.andyourblueblood;1270716; said:im talking saxitilis. there are not many that look like altas, svenis, frenata, lepidota, and saitilis are all ver similar but to my knowledge not all of them have ocelli on the tail. i know svenis get it and i know altas get it. i have also seen it in lepidotas. if i am wrong (which i may be.) please correct me.
