about fading, is the fading gene dominant? if you breed a kamalau with a faded fh, would they all fade? or half? most? sorry for asking in the middle of yout thread, but i am trying to learn.

From what I've seen there's no one type of gene that's always dominant. Just all in luck and FH gods how they turn out. But by 1" or so you can tell from your batch of fry what most likely they will be or look like. Like JP had some RD x JK or flame?(fader) fry and I think most didn't fade. Mine are similar RD x Flame(fader) and I'm expecting the same but you never know.

Either way Bulldog(my male RD) is really wide so I'm hoping for some really wide juvi's with good fins and maybe they'll get his flame tail later. I need to get some new pics of Bulldog.. he's so much bigger now then in those pics..

So like with KML x Fader it's all in the dice.. I actually have a very nice KML male right now I was going to breed but it's going back to it's original owner soon.

If the fry live I will sell all of them except maybe one for myself. That will be a few months from now though. It will be nice to put some quality fish back into the hobby.
