They spawn at very high speeds

Sounds like most guys. :headbang2 :headbang2

your picture is convincing... especially the one in the first picture up in the right hand corner...

keep us posted.

Interesting...they do resemble the ID Sharks. I'm curiuos to see if they really are they babies though. Hopefully, you can grow them out. Keep us updated! What's the parameters, what's the filtration, etc?

Are you pretty sure they are not rainbow babies? You may have a male red and a female turquoise. They sorta look like rainbow babies to me.

my angels around 5inches, and they spawn..

I thought the IDs spawn thousand of eggs at one time..

some of the angels are 3 and two are 5-8 inches

no I dont think they are rainbows, if you look at them closely you can see clearly the bottom fin is shaped just like an id shark.

and as far as as many eggs they produce, I would say because they are so small and this is their first spawn that that number would be greatly reduced. Plus there are no telling how many got eaten by the others and or sucked up by the filter.

Honestly I haven't tested the water since I set up the tank about a month ago. Whats even funnier is the filter is way under rated for a tank that big. its only a cascade 700. I was just putting the fish and filter on the tank to get it cycled for my moms rays.

Oh and I will definately keep you all up dated, with pics and what not as they grow.

You do that Dreaco. I like my ID's. They have calmed down alot since I put them in my 300g. Imagine them flying for 8' before they hit their faces!

lol, I can imagine. you should have seen it when I had mine in a 45 hex tank. it would hit every wall like 12 times before it would play dead. Then there was the one time when I was doing a water change it jumped out, hit the coffee table and landed behind my couch. I thought it was dead for sure, but its a trooper.

A 3 foot ID shark could do well beyond 10,000 eggs at one time.

As for spawning Bala Sharks, the pituary gland found in carp is one way to get them to breed. If I was to breed them I would do it in a MINIMUm 10x6x3.

I would highly recommend that you get all the parameters you can written down. Also the type of filtration, the temperature, the size of the tank, the frequency of water changes, the amount of water changes, the media's used, any other pumps/water currents, decorations, type of substrate, buffers, and any chemicals that have been used, including the type of water conditioner. This will help any others that wish to breed them have a head start, and if you are ever wanting to go back into breeding them, this will enable you to replicate the breeding parameters.
