speakers

I've never seen it. Did you see the Myth Busters episode where they were trying forever to break glass with sound? Way back when I did aquarium maintenance for a bar that had a large show tank next to their stage. It was right were you walk in and bands would always place their speakers right behind it. No breakage or cracks ever seen, but the cranked bass would kill sensitive fish! It was a "killer" deal as they were always having to buy new fish! :screwy: They were the best maintenance customer I ever had! ($$$!!) You could name your own price plus all the sodas you could drink and maraschino cherries! I was making $20 plus/hour on the side in the late 70's and was only 18! I had more fun working at the pet store though for $3.85/hr :WHOA:

2,000 watts and 12 18" subs I seen that myth busters and I'm worried about the seals and the vibration the tables and chairs walk across the floor the speaker box is in the basement and the port is through the floor in the center of the room?

I'd be more concerned about the health of your fish! Silicone will flex and glass will vibrate, but fish can pick up vibrations through there lateral lines!

it must some tremendous power to be able to break the glass. i mean alot of jackhammers from mtx. lol i would love to see the results.

once i was bumping in my car and i was able to barely see the ripples on my moms 20g, next to the window. lol i will try it again and record it.

nope, but i cracked my rear window with bass.

WTF for?! Are you deaf? If not, you are soon to be! I wouldn't want to put my fish through that, as said, for their health.

1st off it's not my house and not my fish One of my good friends wants two build in the wall about 300 gals or so but doesn't want his fish on the floor the water would drain down into his speakers through the ports

Well your friend needs to either find a new wall for the tank or a new spot for the speakers. He should be more worried about the fish then the glass. Loud noises go nowhere near my tanks. I don't even like allow TV's around my tanks. In fact If I am arguing with someone, I walk into a different room so as not to upset the fish........actually......wow.....that's sad. I didn't realize it until I started typing it.
I need a girlfriend...
