Well your friend needs to either find a new wall for the tank or a new spot for the speakers. He should be more worried about the fish then the glass. Loud noises go nowhere near my tanks. I don't even like allow TV's around my tanks. In fact If I am arguing with someone, I walk into a different room so as not to upset the fish........actually......wow.....that's sad. I didn't realize it until I started typing it.
I need a girlfriend...

WTF for?! Are you deaf? If not, you are soon to be! I wouldn't want to put my fish through that, as said, for their health.

EXACTLY!!! First of all i have 150w speakers and had three noise complaints last wk end!!!(and they were only up three quarters). But if your mate has enough cash to blow on a sound system like that which i'm sure would be phenomenal, then he should have enough to blow on thicker glass if needed.

i think theres a certain frequency that breaks glass.

Yeah i think you are right, Plus i don't think you will have a problem unless ya mates tank is made out of 1mm glass!!!

if i remember correctly, mythbusters actually broke 12 mm glass with speakers.
and it has to be a certain frequency.

you could crack any glass with enough power and the resonant frequency...the bad part is you don't know you've found the resonant frequency until you're rattling something apart.
