thats a awsome lookin shrimp, is it hard to get a hold of one like that in canada, im from N.B. and at all my lfs i can't order any one kind, all they have on the ordering list is mantis shrimp in general.. and all i can do is cross my fingers and hope for the best lol

Ask them to pick them out for you when they get in live rock or call other stores in your area and ask about them. Most lfs kill them as pests but, fair warning the lion's share of species aren't very attractive and will stay pretty much out of site.

Mantis shrimps are loud pests! I had a few in my tank before. What I do is I try to locate their burrows and put bait on a stick, with a net at the bottom.
I was able to successfully catch 3 mantis shrimps after about fifty tries hehe.

There is one at my lfs that I want but they have himherit up for £52 sterling which I think is far too much. How much are they stateside

Wont find to many spearers in LR. They live on the bottom in rubble and mud ect in burrows.
