Remarks: Didn't expect it to revert back to darker colors, but at least he maintained his spots. I just noticed it's adipose fin are quite large & high compare to other specimen I've seen, probably an aberrant specimen

They are food, I take it. But Mat says the piraiba stopped taking live feeders and are content with pellets. IDK if this still holds true.

said, it is food. There's a shop here have the best quality feeder fish. I did stop feeding him feeders but this is the first time for the past few months I gave him, as a treat. Usually I only bought Chinese Shiners but bought the goldfish to act as tank cleaners. Food & clean, win win. This one is the Suriname, I didn't trained him to take pellets. Much easier, cheaper & healthier for him to take market fish.
