Oh, the smallest piranha species I know of is Pristobrycon calmoni (Dusky Piranha). It used to be called Serrasalmus calmoni. So, you can find pics/care sheets by googling either name.

serrasalmus sanchezi it is also not a "true piranha" (2nd closest group to being true piranha) but it is much more or a piranha then wimples

Is the tank new/used? Glass or acrylic? Come with a stand/top/filter/gravel/etc?

I usually pay $1/gal for used glass tanks with no ups or extras.
the tank is new and its made of glass with no accessories:)

S. Sanchezi is a true priranha.

I THINK (correct me if I'm wrong) He means the difference between true piranhas like pygocentrus. And "true" Piranhas, pygos, serras (add what I forgot here) And Whimples and other fish in the piranha group that aren't quite piranhas.

Jeeze, I hope I made sense!! LOL

I don't quite know what the whole thought process is behind pygos being true ps, and everything else we keep as piranhas isn't quite AS true???

Yea, I need to quit now..lol ^_^
