Looks to me like n. macrostoma but it also closely resembles p. punctatus in some ways. The markings and colours do change as they grow larger in all these species. Not knowing how long you've kept this fish, growth rate would be a clue. I have 3 n. macrostoma for 9 months now and they have only grown from 3" to 4" in that time. Larger parauchenoglanis like p. ngamensis and p. punctatus would likely exhibit faster growth over a similar period. Time will tell whether it's notoglanidium or parauchenoglanis. That said, there are parauchenoglanis such as p. guttatus that stay small and p. monkei that remain the smallest of the group but don't resemble what you've shown...

After a water change is all pal, most of my cats get really active just after for some reason.

After seeing the video and more pictures they are surely n. macrostoma. Interesting how active your's get after a water change, mine stay hidden in the driftwood no matter what but all my cats show an increase in appetite after water changes, like your video!

Thanks, I have 4 so I'm glad they arnt gonna get 16":-)

Can't say I know why but can connect it to fishing after it rains

Maybe colder water means more food being washed down river with the increased flow?
