Spectrum Pellets for Rays?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I believe it's the same thing just with a better ingredient list and a bit more money. You should PM RD. He's the expert on this stuff.

I feed new life spectrum 10mm for my rays and they absolutely love it they prefer the size since they are larger rays but even when smaller they chow down on it. Massivore is like crack so your fish will be addicted to it. Really try to switch them and tell me its not a drug. But starve them and give them a little time to understand other foods exist and they will then eat any type of pellet.
Its funny while on Massivore for a long time they will only eat Massivore and nothing else when on nls they will eat just about anything and not be so picky.

I feed a mix of kens krill and nls pellets.

NLS is cheaper in bulk than the Hikari (5lb vs 2.2lb bags)
I tried the NLS Thera A Jumbo Fish 6mm a while back on a group of rays in the 9-12" range.

The pellets are a lot harder than the Hikari. Massivore gets soft very quickly in the water in comparison.

Some of the more aggressive rays took to them no problem. Been meaning to try them again. Keep us posted if you make a play and get some of the 10mm.

Here is my proof. Too bad I sold all my small fish and didn't think about the rest of the 2mm bucket.

from my experience, may ray just ignored the mega pellets even with starving them. I tried it as well with my ornate bichirs but nobody seems to like it. For pellets I'm still using massivore as a treat and feed regularly with diced pork heart and marinara mix. might be the batch i had, but i had the same feedback from local guys trying this new mega pellet.

My rays eat it. And my tig eats it. It's a hard pellet though the smaller rays definitely have trouble with the 10mm

I have been told NLS have stopped making the mega size pellet well I know this is the case in the UK
