I got the pulled over about 6 months ago for speeding. I was going 53 miles in a 35 miles per hour zone. The officer was riding a harley davidson motorcycle, he was a big mo fo... like 6'4" tall. All leathered out, and the Aviator sun glasses, i was like F%&<!!. He asked for the usual license, registration, and insurance. So i gave him my Military ID instead. LOL. He asked if i was a veteran, and if this was my vehicle. I said "yes sir", my car has a Veteran License plate. He felt bad, we started to chit chat, he said he is also a veteran, from Vietnam era. He didn't want to give me a ticket. So he wrote me up anyways. He told me he wanted me to fight the ticket, and take it trial. So i did, my court was scheduled for October, 22 2008 at 2pm(yesterday). So i showed up on time, sweatn balls, the whole nine yards suit and tie. I couldn't afford another point on my license. So the judge entered the room and announced that he would start with all the cases with no show. Either the defendant or the police officer who was not present. To my surprise the judge called my name first. He said "your case is dismissed, your citing officer is not present today". I couldn't believe it, felt bad for all the other folks, that had all their pigs that showed up. So today I'm writing the officer a thank you letter. He stood up for his word, bite the bullet and let me off big time. Sorry for the long paragraph. Thanks for reading.
