i was going to ask if you were from West Virginia-i hear they blow up stuff good.

lol-didnt want to insult any wv'ers. great shots, im envious of your shutter speed. i try to take a pic of my fish and all i get are colored blurs.

I like seeing what stuff looks like as it's blowing up more than blowing it up. The shutter speed has nothing to do with the pictures though:) It's actually quite slow.

I'll have to find a friend with a paintball gun and try that. Do you know the speed of an average paintball gun?

its varies by the gun and the calibration of the gun, but on average it is just below or at 300 fps. they can be kind of inaccurate when shooting targets though. if you throw the paintballs in the freezer for a bit they may cause more damage to the target. we used to play outside at night and one winter night my buddy got shot in the hand and instead of breaking, the ball shattered like glass! it left shards in his hand just like glass as well. it would be a pretty awesome pic if you could capture the paintball shattering like that

Good idea! I'm sure we could do that. The timing is pretty easy to adjust.

Not in Canader, but its the best you yanks got

How many takes did it take to get the timing down? those pics are pretty sick.

Not even remotely close to the best we have. How many microbreweries are there where the government controls the beer? lol

I probably take 5-10 test shots, but once the timing is established I can capture an explosion on every shot. I set the shot up on an empty can BTW:)
