Great to see you're back mate :)

Shame the Flathead and Sperata don't get along. Could you house the sperata seperately until the ground thaws up and then dig a pond for the flatty? Not sure if it would survive a Montana winter, just an idea.. ;)

I rent so doubt my landlord woukd like that. Plus i live on one of the very few flood planes in my city so would be irresponssible if it escaped into montana waters. This species is not found in montana. Wish i could build a large above ground pond for them. Probably have enough space to get rid of aggression then. Both of them can handle pretty low temps so wouldnt need to heat very much in winter. Just enough to keep the water above freezing and fish alive lol. Could put a few goonch in there also with some channel ect.

Seems a bit weird that your landlord would allow a pond in your crawlspace but not in the garden, but whatever rocks their boat I guess :)

Semi-heated raised pond would be ace, lots of NA cats to go to and quite a few from Asia +other fish ofc. Still looking forward to what you're building in your crawl space though ;)

Hmm seat of my pants plan. Put nosey back in the 100 gal temporarily or put fluffy in there and the other fish in the 400. Feed fluffy only very little to maintain his current size and feed up nosey in hopes of getting him larger than fluffy over the next few months. I dont really like this plan but it may be my only option at this point. I think i will make it happen tomorrow.

Ok so all of the fish besides the flathead are now in the 400 gal. :). Nosey has just a nub of a tail for now added some salt and doing water changes. He and jaws the id shark should be better in a few days and have their tails back in a few months.
