good luck jaws, I had to give up roofing after 26 years. shoulder took me out, surprisingly. knees and back still good, mostly.

I hope everything works out for you! Get a second opinion just incase to weigh out options for you. If it was me I would do it

Thx bro. Hearing you guys actually saying everything that i was already thinking (but doubting) had braught some clarity to the subject

Thx pops ... dr put requests in for the surgery in the event i decided to do it. Got rejected but hes resubmitting, gonna see a lawyer this week. So at the least i have time to think about this

I know a few that have had fusion, but up near the neck, not the lumbar region. know a few had sciatic nerve work done that did not work, basically trying to make the nerve canal wider.

You will never wrestle again...teasing a little. Good Luck though. Injuries suck. I'm hoping I will be able to walk(with crutches) in about 2-3 weeks. The cast will be on for at least 5 more weeks. So, who knows when I'll be back to normal.

bummers war, my last cast was for 8 months, had a skill saw run over my ankle.

My uncle had the neck done and he's doing much better and says he should have had it done long ago, but I have never known anyone who had lower or middle back surgery that turned out well or didn't need follow-up surgery again and even again afterwards. They all seem to feel good for a few years, then it gets bad again and it's even worse than before and there's only ONE thing they can do now - MORE surgery

agreed. once its messed with, maintenance needs to happen every so many years, I have to get bone shaved off my collar bone and clavicle in the next 5 years or so to remove the dead/deceased bone and arthritis.

my collar bone in the shoulder is not attached to the scapula. sports injury playen base ball with my oldest son.
