I just got a large, healthy, fw acclimated dragonfish, about an inch under a foot. I saw the spiny eel prices on tfd and wanted to get some. Should I get a brackish tank, or could i keep the spiny eels and drahgons together? how much salt can spinyeels handle?

I'm sure it could be done. the dragon fish( i think you mean the gobey) should be kept brackish, i would keep the salt around 5 tablespoons per 10g. i would also use a kh booster to raise the kh and pH to around 7.5 or so. but do it slowly. the dragon will like it and I'm sure the spiny would be fine. iv kept spiny eels in my water that has a pH of about 8! and they were OK. for the salt it isn't a huge amount and should be fine i would think. hopefully someone else has some input for you too if i missed anything. good luck.

You could cut the salt back to 3 tbs/10g and the spiney would be happier and dragon gobies do pretty well at that level.
