Spiny eels

Keep the tank VERY well covered, if there is a pinprick sized ho;le in the lid they will somehow find it and jump through it.
You will wake up to a crisp eel on the floor.

Oh really the only opening I have is the inlet and outlet I've covered the excess with polycarbonate sheet and cut round the pipes

Ok how big have you had them get and thank you for the info current tank mates are bushfish 2 kirbs and a knife fish the brown knife

Bush fish, brown knife and kribensis are fine. Had them around the 6-8inch mark and over 12inches.

Think mine got to 16-18 but had slowed down in growth.
