Im building a tank with a footprint of 6'x3'x2.5'. Im going to have several large cichlids, peacock bass, arowanas, datnoids, large catfish, and maybe stingrays. Could i keep a large spiny softshell, or maybe a florida softshell. with these fish or would it get injured?

Thats what i thought, but my friend thinks it would work. Is there any kind of turtle that i could put with those fish? I dont know if i'm going to get the stingrays, i didnt have much luck with them last time.

Stingrays plus turtles is probably unworkable; turtles are too likely to scratch them up (not deliberately, they just aren't very respectful). None of the turtles I have kept would be good matches for those fish; the peaceful smaller species would be swallowed whole by a big cat or peacock bass, and the larger species are likely to bite or scratch the fish. A cooter is the best I can come up with.

Maybe someone else will have better suggestions. Remember also that a turtle will need special accomodations, including basking platform and light, as well as shallow areas to rest in.

I have a red eared slider and an eastern painted turtle, and i now a lot about turtles. I was just wondering what turtles i could keep with those fish. Im not getting the stingrays anyway, they're to hard to keep for me.

Depending on the size and temperament you could possibly keep a frt.

Fly River Turtles sometimes work with fish, but they are very expensive and fairly hard to come by.

Practically every other freshwater turtle will eat fish, even bigger aggressive ones like the Pbass will take nips.

Florida Softshells are possibly the most aggressive of all turtles, along with Common Snappers, plus they get just as big.

Turtles (including FRTs) are terrible with rays, so bad idea. My FRT bites chunks out of any big fish except quick cichlids.
