any of you feed your frontosa spirulina and have seen color enhancements?
are they major or just slight bluer colorations. ive been feeding my frontosa spirulina for a while but he is too shy to get enough food. now that i got more fronts, they are less hesitant to go around and to the surface for food.
dont like any other frontosas but burundis because of their white bodies. wondering if i can get my burundis to keep their white bodies but have bluer fins.

Never tried it, but I've heard spirulina brings out the blues and greens in those colored fish. Fronts are fish eaters by nature, so I give mine protein based foods. Some of the pelets contain spirulina, but he likes his meat.

ive been using nutrafin spirulina lakes made for fish. you guys know of any 100% spirulina foods? is 100% spirulina better or prepared fish spirulina?

btw nutrafin is real good. my green terror gained so much green from the 2 months i fed him spirulina. mike you should try it out. but i never tried nls so i dunno.

Food high in spirulina content is good. But, most fish will not eat 100% spirulina. Seems that there has to be a little bit of flavoring at least.

Not sure how you are feeding but fronts shouldnt "go to the surface" for food, you should be feeding sinking pellet

well my fronts feed at the surface now because they have their little colony. i just bought some sinking HBH spirulina sinking pellets and theyre too slow for the mbunas. bad mix but it works.

from my reading, 100 percent spirulina is not good for the fish... Fronts will need some protein in the diet.... That is why I use NLS it has it all. I know other stuff is great as well, but I am bias...
