LOL, I'm glad to see you made it back safely.

Oh yeah. I decided I needed a day of rest after that. so I went out and bought an Xbox 360 and wasted the entire day.

what a waste of ranch dressing! lol.. great shots btw.

He has a sound activated timer for the flash. He's using a Nikon D50. Very intricate, yet simple design. He made a believer out of me. I'll let him explain all the nitty gritty details of the setup. After all, it is his rig. LOL

BTW...... How'd those videos turn out when looking at them the day after. YIKES!

Thanks everyone:)

What equipment did you use to capture these images? Great pics.

I made an amplifier circuit that uses sound to fire the flash. As soon as the sound is captured by the mic, the output of the mic is amplified and sent to the trigger of the flash. It's the very short burst of the flash that exposes the sensor on the camera. We were using a 1 second exposure @ iso400 and F5.6 on the Nikon D50. The focal length was 200mm so I didn't get too much splatter on the camera haha. The flash is a Nikon SB600.

It's a fun project that seems to get more dangerous every time I go out to take pictures.

Well done! Great pics!
