i learned 2 never help spoiled kids start aquariums even with the consent and finacial reliability of their parents ...my lil cuzin came over and seen my tanks....2 days later i get a call from my auntie out of the blue asking how to set up a fish tanks because they bought one after my 10 yr old cuzin seen mine. b4 they had started putting fish in i gave them a few feeders to cycle the tanks i said specificly not to put fish in for 3 weeks...3 days later they want the set it up and decorated and b get ready for the fish. apparently they went and bought fish insted about 25 fish died before the water was fully cycled. i made it my point to my aunt and unkel the some fish are not compatable with each other and live in different parmeters, over stocking and so on... the nod their heads took notes and smiled like the was listening.
they call just about everytime thier at a lfs to ask about the compatability of fish like oscars and tetras...witch is a clear no...only to buy them even after asking my opinion...the fish horders has now a 20 gal with 9 dwarf gouramis and a 55gal with 10 large type catfish....ive never been so heated

Rest assured that somewhere there is a world in which giant fish keep children as pets stuffed into too small a jar.

I'm a big believer in karma. Jackasses usually get what's coming to them, it's just too bad it isn't televised when it does. It's sweet to be a witness sometimes, though.

thats doesnt really sound like hes spoiled, just stupid... i thought you were gonna say he saw your tank and the next day hes got a 300 with 2 fx5s and a wet/dry.

tell your cuz to hand feed those cats when they are larger and in such a small tank... instant karma hahaha

just never set up a tank for a little sibling in your house. they usually overfeed, make you clean it, and, end up killing their fish...:swear: annoying little sister i have...

you tell the kid not the aunt. but I can't believe that that much died I never cycled a tank. Probably this is because the fish in the US are weak pampered fish and the fish in the Philippines are so used to bad conditions.
